(Opening Day)
6 - 8 PM - The Blessing of the Stands: Father Fabian
and other priests from The Most Precious Blood Church will walk through the
streets of the Feast blessing all the vendors and merchants.
Friday, September 17
2 - 3 PM - 3rd Annual Cannoli Eating Contest sponsored by La Bella
Ferrara: The Feast Stage at the intersection
of Grand and Baxter Streets will be the site of this eating competition,
sanctioned by the International Federation of Competitive Eaters, to
determine who can eat the most cannoli within a given 6-minute period. The
winner will receive a Championship Belt and will be recognized as The
World's Champion Cannoli Eater. Trophies will be given to the 2nd and 3rd
Place finishers.
